Statement:
I create work based on my mental state at that moment. My work may end up calm, or may end up mentally heavy. They are what they are. Basically the viewer voyeuristically watches how things in my life affect me and how they get interpreted through my work.
Influences:
The attitudes of the Russian Constructivist,
Jim Dine, Egon Schiele, Derek Hess
Malcolm Liepke, Thomas Eakins , Trent Reznor,
Thom Yorke. |
A friend of mine said I needed
to show
more influences. Here's a few more:
James Wood in Video Drome, (the movie where he couldn't quit watching those darned illegal bondage satelite signals)
Any western with James Cobern
Charles Bronson, Ed Norton…alright, alright, alright… Dirk Diggler,
anway back to…
Rod Stieger, Paul Newman in Hud, Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, Lee Marvin in Cool Hand Luke, Robert Duvall, Robert DeNiro, Willem Defoe in Wild at Heart and Isabella Rossallini in Wild at Heart. I will add more as I think about it.
OK these are not all influences neccessarily but they are a list of characters and actors I like. Therefore I guess the film makers and writers who have created these great films and have used these actors have influenced me to a degree.
